Club Players Seminar
Seminar Objectives:-
A very practical based seminar for groups of club players.
The primary purpose of this seminar is to establish and
re-enforce the role of exercise, physical training pathways, and
movement screening in the long-term development of the golfer.
The secondary purpose is a fascinating insight into the
“physical” and not the technical side of the golf swing.
In real terms it is hoped that attendees will use this seminar
to either kick-start or re-enforce a dedicated physical training
regime specifically designed to improve their golf performance.
Seminar Themes:-
• Understanding the “physicalities” of golf
• Where does physical training fit into golf preparation
• What can physical screening reveal about me and my golf swing
• Establishing a golf training pathway
• Understanding the benefits…enhanced performance, swing
resilience, injury prevention, “your body is your sport”.
• How fit am I?
Workshops for Coaches, Trainers and Therapists
Covering a comprehensive introduction to Functional Training,
Corrective Exercise and Movement Screening and suitable for all
those working with golfers.
• The functional dynamics of the golf swing
• Dynamic Movement Screening and motion capture assessment of a
golfers foundation movement capacity
• The functional training progression through the main stages of
a performance physical training programme
These are always practical based workshops where participants
are expected to take part in evaluation/screening techniques,
training activities, corrective exercise progressions and
“physical” range drills.
