| Our courses have been
developed with our partners at Loughborough College
Sports, Exercise and Fitness Department in order to make
sure they map against national standards and educational
frameworks. |

We
are a REPS approved provider of educational courses. We
offer 3 main courses but we are also able to offer
bespoke ones too covering the topics of DMS,
functional
training, corrective exercise, performance enhancement,
rehab, Long Term Athlete development (LTAD) and sports
injuries etc.

Core Stability Training Programmes
|
| |
|
|
|
This course is
designed to be adapted for anyone involved in the
fitness industry including Personal Trainers, Gym
Instructors, Sports Therapists, Strength and
Conditioning Coaches, Physiotherapists and Physical
Education Instructors. The course has been
recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals and
is eligible for 7 CPD points.
Overview of the course
Core stability training has become increasingly popular
within the fitness industry and the performance
environment. The simple reason being that it has the
ability to enhance performance and prevent injuries. The
core is often described as the centre of the body or
the power source and is therefore vital in the
transfer of forces through the body. A strong and stable
core supports all successful functional and dynamic
movement and will provide the base from which the
extremities can operate safely with maximum strength and
efficiency.
The Physical Solutions core course is not just another
ball course! |
|
|
|
|
|
 |
|
|
Aims: by the end of the course participants
should understand |
|
|
The role of core stability in training programmes |
|
|
The anatomy and bio-mechanics of core stability |
|
|
Postural assessment and introduction to movement screens |
|
|
The benefits of core stability in terms of posture,
injury management and performance |
|
|
How to train dynamic core stability and effectively
progress the exercises following a comprehensive
training path |
|
|
How to take performance stability training to the next
dynamic level |
| |
|
| |
There is a
strong practical element and a comprehensive manual is
included with the course.
The course is supported by a DVD that includes detailed
exercise programmes and progressions from basic core
establishment routines to advanced abdominal and core
power training.

Functional Training Programmes |
| |
|
| |
This course is
designed to be adapted for anyone involved in the
fitness industry including Personal Trainers, Gym
Instructors, Sports Therapists, Strength and
Conditioning Coaches, Physiotherapists and Physical
Education Instructors. The course has been
recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals and
is eligible for 7 CPD points.
Overview of the course
Functional training has become a buzzword within the
fitness and rehab industry. Simply defined
functional
training is training the body to serve the purpose for
which it was designed. In order to design functional
training programmes you will learn how the body truly
operates in 3 planes of motion, how to train in relation
to gravity and ground reaction forces, how to
appropriately incorporate balance and pro prioceptive
training, how to work with mass and momentum, and how to
follow a structured training path according to
functional human movement criteria. |
| |
|
| |
|
|
|
Aims: by the end of the course the participants should
understand |
|
The pitfalls of
traditional and commercial gym training |
|
The theory
behind function and functional training concepts |
|
The benefits of
functional training in injury prevention and treatment |
|
An introduction
to movement screens and corrective exercise |
|
Functional
training for performance |
|
The structure
and progression of a functional programme |
|
An introduction
to advanced corrective exercise sequences |
| |
|
| |
There is a

included with the course.

An
overview of this course
This is one of our most exciting and innovative projects
to date. We both have a passion for understanding and
assessing human movement, and putting together our years
of clinical experience with studying the work of other
educators in the field, we have developed a dynamic
movement screening protocol and course. Static muscle
length, ROM and traditional physiological movement
examinations will always have their place in clinical
and performance assessment, however the assessment of
true function in motion, and understanding the
implications of this assessment are the aims of this
course.

Assessing a clients fundamental FOUNDATION MOVEMENT
CAPABILITIES based upon assessing the core primary
movements with a system of dynamic functional movement
screens. |
|
|
Recognition of common movement pattern dysfunctions and
their influence on the success or failure of applied
exercise and rehab. Do they have the foundation? If not
how can we expect them to be successful> |
|
|
A
review of static posture and common postural
dysfunctions, and the understanding of the influences
these will have on dynamic function and exercise
performance. |
|
|
The assessment of dynamic posture and dynamic functional
movements and the understanding of the influences these
will have on function and exercise performance. Do they
have the timing, do they have the range, do they have
the stability> |

Recognition of common muscle imbalances and an
introduction to corrective exercises to attend to
these imbalances. |
